Protocorms
We filed the fruits of some species, freshly collected during a mission in Cambodia (TELEPOVA, 2005) in the service of the Botanic Garden at the Museum, which specializes in in vitro culture. The seeds were cultivated by Valerie Priolet.
These observations showed that the evolution of a morphological form to another occurs by the sequences of three months and it corresponds to an average of literature data (reference library ... ..), and time is slowed down in culture between the sowing of seeds
It takes a period of one to three months (after sowing seeds) for the forming of protocorms, and also three months for the appearance on the protocorm of a growth area with leaf primordia on one side and the rhizoids on the opposite side (Fig. 1 - proembryo of Rhynchostylis gigantea). The time slackened from sowing seeds to the emergence of shoots.
